About
Nick Smeriglio is a New York-based actor, stand-up comedian, content creator, and podcast producer whose grounded charisma and sharp comedic instincts have earned him attention on stage, online, and on screen.
Originally from Arlington Heights, IL, Nick earned a marketing degree from Marquette University before spending four years in the workforce — first as a recruiter, then selling bread for Turano Bakery, and finally in ad sales support at Viacom (now Paramount). While working full-time, he was cast in a coached ensemble at Second City Chicago. With the support of his managers, who allowed him weekly rehearsal time, Nick ignited his creative spark. His final show wrapped just one week before the COVID-19 lockdown — pushing him to explore TikTok, where his original sketches and impressions of Walken, Soprano, and Maniscalco quickly gained traction.
In 2021, Nick left corporate life to pursue entertainment full-time. Starting out as a host at Zanies Rosemont's weekly Wednesday showcase, he’s since performed at iconic venues including Caroline’s on Broadway and Governor's of Levittown. He has shared the stage with Jay Leno, Jeff Garlin, and Anthony Rodia, and television appearances include Fox News, Good Day New York of Fox5 NY, WGN-TV, and a video feature on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He’s collaborated with the sketch group I Mostly Blame Myself, which eventually earned a slot at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Nick made his acting debut playing Tommy in the short film Statistical Probabilities in the summer of 2023, which earned him a Best Supporting Actor award and screened at several national film festivals. His work also extends to voiceover — having narrated his first audiobook project, showcasing his emotional range and vocal control.
As a podcast producer with Growing Up Italian, Nick leads Cresciuto Italiano, an all-Italian-language show that blends comedy with culture and community.
